When we were told that an army group of over a thousand people wants to run in synchronised steps, we wondered if it is even possible. In a small group, all runners just have to listen to the ‘left-right’ call of the leader, but with a huge group many callers are needed and it would be a task to synchronise them. Anyway, the Infantry Formation had a solution and on Infantry Day, 17 Aug 2012, they managed to have 1,300 people run in step for 2 km. This was achieved despite an uncooperative weather, running in a light rain at the Pasir Laba Camp.
