MINDS – Woodlands Gardens School serves the educational needs of children with moderate intellectual disability and autism in the northern part of Singapore. Artist Vijaya Mohan who had been collecting used pens, brought thousands of these pens and engaged the students to paste the pens on pre-cut cardboards. They formed the words ‘Happy Children’s Day 2019’ – measuring 4.5m by 2.3m – to commemorate the occasion on 3 Oct 2019. Members of Rotary Club of Novena were also present to guide the children.
