Every student in Peirce Secondary School penned their promises on earth conservation on pledge cards which they later stringed together. The 1,097-metre-long string, made of 8,044 cards, was displayed at the school’s morning assembly on 30 Mar 2012. The event was part of the school’s Humanities Week to emphasise the need to conserve the earth’s limited resources.
