To commemorate the founding of the first YMCA in London 180 years ago, YMCA of Singapore organised 180 hours of climbing up its 9-storey staircase at Orchard Road. It went on non-stop from 5am on 17 Nov and ended on 5pm, 24 Nov 2024 with a carnival, the day marking the 40th anniversary of the YMCA building. A total of 3,428 laps were completed by 504 staff, supporters and members of the public in the 7.5 days.
