Many residents in Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC collected a total of 380,000 ring tabs from canned drinks. This raised $40,000 from some corporate sponsors to purchase taxi vouchers to help needy residents, such as those wheelchair-bound and the elderly. 10,888 pieces of the tabs, in gold and silver, were crafted into a 110m-tall trophy by community leader Kenny Chua. With an average diameter of 32 cm, the trophy was presented at the GRC Family Day in Woodlands Mega Sports Park on 30 Oct 2016.
