Residents and breakfast customers at Sims Vista Market and Food Centre were caught by surprise when suddenly the drumming started, followed by the Wong Fei Hung theme song. A total of 98 participants took part in the flash mob, including members of the public who were provided with Chinese drums as well as improvised ones. It was a well coordinated effort by Sims Place/Drive Stallholders & Shop Owners Association, Kolam Ayer Sims Vista RC, and Chinese wind-percussion ensemble Reverberance.
