Taman Jurong IAEC organised a Deepavali carnival at the CC on 22 Oct 2016. Other than the glamorous stage performances, it had the chefs from Springleaf Prata Place attempting to make Singapore’s largest murtabak. Some stainless steel hardware were specially fabricated for the attempt. With the assistance of DPM Tharman Shanmugaratnam, a single murtabak containing all the usual ingredients was made measuring 2.1m by 0.45m. Thereafter, hundreds of pratas were made for all the visitors.
