On 8 Jul 2026, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) partnered with Dementia Singapore to set the new record of helping seniors with public transport. 138 of LTA’s Caring Commuter Champions set off from various meeting points across the island, accompanying 116 seniors living with dementia on a public transport learning journey via MRT to the National Gallery. The outing was a heartfelt demonstration of what an inclusive public transport experience can be. At the Gallery, the seniors were accompanied to explore works that span Southeast Asian art and Singapore’s history.
