Largest Ground Breaking Ceremony

2,520 Tampines residents, armed with spades, took part in Singapore’s largest ground breaking ceremony at the Tampines Stadium which will be torn down to be replaced by the new Tampines Town Hub. On 11 May 2013, the participants range from kindergarten kids to senior citizens. The hub to be ready in 2016, will be truly integrated with a hawker centre, community clubs, a library, swimming pools and other sports facilities.
