Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society organised its 12th Inter Racial Inter Religious Harmony Nite on 12 Jul 2015. 2,300 people, including President Tony Tan as well as local politicians and diplomats from 21 countries, dined as they watched cultural performances at Marina Bay Sands. Members of the public as well as the diners folded a total of 78,500 origami butterflies which were placed in a 7m by 2.5m by 0.3m glass case at the entrance on ballroom entrance. The multitude of butterflies represent Singapore’s diverse ethnic and cultural community living in harmony.
