Joseph Schooling holds the most men’s swimming records in Singapore, including all three butterfly records. He won the 100m butterfly at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro with a time of 50.39 sec. His other medals include one Asian Games gold and 23 SEA Games golds. In 2009, at age 14, he joined the Bolles School in Florida to better his swimming and in 2014, enrolled at the University of Texas.
