Largest Dragon Boat Tug-Of-War Competition

40 teams with a total of 260 paddlers took part in the tug-of-war competition by rowing rather than pulling. At SAFRA’s Dragon Battle, 2 teams of 6 paddlers each rowed a single dragon boat in opposite directions to determine the stronger of that round. The newly renovated ActiveSG Hockey Village at Boon Lay was officially opened on 17 Aug 2019. It was also the National Day Observance Ceremony at Boon Lay CC. Volunteers at the CC had been collecting tabs from drink cans and contributing them to form the Singapore flag for this occasion. The flag measured 1.8m by 2.7m.
