Most Number Of People Making Towel Roses Together
Boon Lay CC WEC organised a dinner event to celebrate Mother’s Day at the CC on 12 May 2018. Before food was served, guests were given hand towels and watched a video on how to make roses out of the towels. Volunteers also went around to offer some extra help with the folding. 272 participants successfully made the towel roses. Read More »
Tallest Donation Box
Absolutely Halal Global provides an e-commerce platform connecting Muslim merchants with their suppliers and consumers. It organised an international expo showcasing food, fashion and entertainment at F1 Pit Building on 10-13 May 2018. Displayed at the venue was a tall donation box which measured 6.8m by 1.2m and 1.2m. The money collected would go to the Children’s Cancer Foundation. Read More »
World’s Largest Rangoli (Individual)
On 3 Aug 2003, Vijayalakshmi Mohan broke the Guinness record by single-handedly creating a rangoli of size 52 ft by 53 ft or 2,756 sq ft (256 sq m) in 7 hr without any breaks. Rangoli is a form of Indian decoration that uses finely ground white powder and colours. The feat was carried out at the Whampoa Community Club. Read More »
Largest Rangoli Made Of Sand
Making Jurong Spring CC’s largest rangoli brought diverse groups of residents together. To cope with the space constraint, each group had a time slot to portray racial harmony with coloured sand. Largest Wind Chime Made Of Cultured Milk Bottles
Children from Skool4Kidz preschools collected cultured milk bottles and collaborated to make a huge wind chime. Using 1,047 bottles, the wind chime was displayed at Punggol Town Square on 20 Apr 2018 in conjunction with an Earth Week carnival organised by Preschool Market. Read More »
