For the fourth consecutive year, management personnel of OCBC Global Consumer Financial Services turned up at Allspice Institute on 19-20 Aug 2026. They baked 18,888 cookies and packed 6 in each box as tokens of appreciation for their staff. Other senior staff also came to Allspice to collect and send the cookies to the branches.

Largest Display Of Animal Sculptures Made From Recycled Materials

The Singapore Night Festival 2026, organised by HeritageSG, showcased ‘Once Upon a Time’ by artist Natalia Tan. A new record was achieved for the largest display of 38 animal sculptures, co-created by students from 7 Singapore schools using recycled cardboard, discarded foam and textiles. The artwork was exhibited at the Capitol Singapore Outdoor Plaza on 19 Aug 2026.

Nee Soon Link Constituency celebrated National Day at HomeTeamNS Khatib on 15 Aug 2026. At this event, a new record was achieved with 459 participants eating pineapple together. Historically, Nee Soon was an agricultural area with massive rubber and pineapple plantations owned by Lim Nee Soon, nicknamed the ‘Pineapple King’.

Longest Performance Of Musical Works From A Single Composer

HH Maharanyam Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji of Chennai, India has composed hundreds of devotional and carnatic songs. On 8 Aug 2026 at the SIFAS Annexe Theatre, Namadwaar Singapore held a marathon relay with various groups taking turns to sing these songs. It went on for 10 hours and a minute.

Longest Bunting Made Of National Day Pennants

Volunteers from Tampines Park Residents’ Network went house to house in that area with materials and asked residents to sew or paste them to make National Day pennants for SG61. The pennants were stringed into a bunting and hung around the RN on 1 Aug 2026 and it measured 339m.

Bukit Batok East CACC built a 3-tower sculpture covered with sequins measuring 1.8 x 0.6m, 2.1 x 0.6m and 2.4 x 0.6m at its PAssionArts Festival event held on 1 Aug 2026. The record-breaking installation was created through 4 community workshops that brought residents together to design and assemble the dazzling structure.

Largest Gathering Of People In Costumes Made From Recycled Materials

Sparkletots kindergartens in Punggol jointly organised the PCF Punggol GRC Family Day. Parents were told to come with costumes made from recycled materials. 260 of such costumes were counted, worn by children and parents, at One Punggol on 26 Jul 2026. It was an unforgettable day of fun, family bonding, and record-setting for the community.
