Servathon is CityCare’s annual social service marathon event. On 6 Sep 2013, over 300 volunteers met at Chinese International School to pack 5,000 goodie bags which were given out to 27 VWOs to distribute to the needy. Volunteers may either offer to help for 10 hours or 21 hours, those serving a longer time helped in the distribution as well. The other key activity of the Servathon saw the volunteers writing thousands of message cards with inspiring messages. These cards were to be given to strangers they would meet in the public. But before that, the cards were assembled on the floor to form a rainbow mosaic measuring 3.4m by 8.1m.
