Sian Chay Medical Institution planned to distribute artificial carnations to mothers in public places for Mothers’ Day. On 12 May 2017, prior to the distribution, the staff and volunteers arranged 41,249 blooms of carnation in the hall of Seng Kang Secondary School. It formed the shape of a giant heart measuring 13m across and 9.5m in depth. An adjudicator from Guinness confirmed the world record.
