AWWA gathered many of its volunteers together for its Appreciation Day on 23 May 2015 at Vivocity. The event theme was the national flower, Vanda Miss Joaquim, which symbolises the resilience of the volunteers. Weeks earlier, volunteers and staff had written encouraging messages on pieces of paper which were digitally printed in colour. 2015 pieces of the notes were assembled to form the 4.8m by 3.9m orchid image and displayed at the event.
