In a tribute to Singapore’s 50th year of independence, Raymond Tan completed 50 marathons in 50 days on 11 Apr 2015. From 21 Feb, the 43-year-old ran a little more than the 42.195 km everyday at around midnight to make a mark for himself and for Singapore. Except for off-days, every morning he would be back at work handling general cargo operations at Jurong Port. At every run, Tan wore a watch that transmitted his pace and distance to the cloud for verification.
