To inculcate recycling and to raise funds for needy students, ITE College West staff and students folded and displayed 145,728 origami hearts in the huge indoor sports hall on 4 May 2013. The entire display measured 23.4m by 24.0m. The event was also jointly organised with the National Environment Agency and Choa Chu Kang grassroots leaders.
