Tallest Christmas Tree Made Of Plastic Bottles

Tallest Christmas Tree Made Of Plastic Bottles

A 12.8m-tall Christmas tree was lighted up at UBS’s Appreciation Night held at Hotel Fort Canning on 29 Nov 2019. With a base diameter of 4.5m, the tree was made from discarded plastic bottles. 6,000 flowers were cut from bottles by volunteers from UBS, Lasalle College of the Arts, Community Foundation of Singapore (CFS), AWWA, Halogen Foundation Singapore and Care Corner Seniors Services. The project kicks off UBS’s Sustainable Arts Programme for Youths, a joint project with charity CFS to support and mentor youths in therapeutic learning through art.
