Environmental consultant, Dr Narayanaswamy Venkataraman, has written 3 books. His first book, published in 2015, was written in simplified Tamil to make all the 1,330 Tirukkural (Sacred Verses) couplets from 23 centuries ago easy to understand. The Tirukkural is considered one of the greatest works ever written on ethics and morality. To make it extremely portable, he republished the book, in a credit-card size, 55 by 85mm and 8mm thick. The 140-page book, Kuraloli, was launched at National Library Board’s Read Fest on 22 Jun 2019.
