Short Film Produced In The Most Number of Languages

While still studying at SAE Institute’s Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Digital Film Making programme, Mathankumaran Madawan, 26, produced and directed a mysterious thriller outstandingly. Shot in 2014, ‘Belitter’ is a supernatural-themed film about a girl who has recently moved to a new house. While getting used to her new home, she experienced something uncanny that changed her life. This short film with a meaningful environmental message was produced separately in English, Mandarin, Tamil, Malay, and not dubbed.

It won 5 awards including Overall Best Film at International Film Festival of Environment, Health and Culture and World Film Awards, which was supported by Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports. The festival was held in Jun 2015. In addition, the film won an Award of Merit at the Accolade Film Competition of California, USA, in Mar 2015.
