On 25 Aug 2013, 483 residents of Geylang Serai constituency gathered at Eunos Crescent to take part in the One Community Walk. Just before doing warm ups for the walk, they mingled, chatted with one another and ate kacang putih together. The One Community Walk is a nationwide walking event with a twist, where walks are organised within each of the 87 divisions in Singapore and flagged off on the same day at the same time.
