To make a statement about the Singapore-Malaysia inextricable ties, Deloitte’s badminton players from both countries attempted and set national records at the same time on both sides of the Causeway. On 27 Jan 2019, the Singapore side managed 2,222 continuous shots to set the rally record at the Chinese Swimming Club. The Malaysian side played 5,964 drive shots in the span of one hour. Calling themselves Awesome Badminton Co-opetition, the teams also had Derek Wong Badminton Academy and Duo Sparks Express Badminton Training Centre to help organise this feat successfully in just a month.
