AMK Hub commemorated its fifth anniversary on 1 Sep 2012 with the largest taiyaki display. Taiyaki is a popular Japanese waffle pancake shaped like a sea bream and filled with sweet fillings. The fish is an auspicious symbol for Japanese because its name includes a part of the word ‘medetai’, which means happiness or goodness. 5,555 pieces of taiyaki were formed into a gigantic 4m by 7.5m taiyaki to wish shoppers happiness and prosperity.
