When news came that the Pasir Panjang Power Station Quarters would be demolished soon, the ex-neighbours who had already moved out of the place more than 30 years ago, decided to hold a reunion at the premises. On 28 May 2017, 447 former neighbours turned up to bid their old ‘kampong’ good-bye. The Power Station was decommissioned in 1987.
