On 11 Aug 2012 at Bedok Central, East Coast GRC celebrated National Day with a sports fiesta. Residents played various games and winners received ping pong balls which they could use towards the formation of the National flag. When completed, the flag measured 2.8m by 2m and consisted of 3,213 ping pong balls in a clear acrylic box.
