Singapore Association for Retarded Children was started in 1962. In 1985, its name was changed to the Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS). Celebrating its 60th anniversary on 24 Mar 2022, MINDS Woodlands Gardens School put up a record display of over 6,000 flowers made from cut used plastic bottles. In the middle of the 9mx8.9m display was the 60th anniversary logo. Vijayalakshmi Mohan, a renowned art therapist, led them in the craftwork.
