Throughout the Mid Autumn Festival held at the Singapore Expo on 18-20 Sep 2015, visitors could participate in painting lanterns under the guidance of batik artist Ika Zahri. His team applied wax to parts of the lanterns and participants could bring out batik designs on the lanterns. At the end of the exhibition, 2,149 lanterns were completed. The record attempt was organised by SingEx Venues, managing company of the Singapore Expo.
