Gardens by the Bay held its first Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations from 13 to 22 Sep 2013. A host of charity events was organised to raise funds for the President’s Challenge at the Gardens. Initiated by the Nanyang Arts House together with artists Wu Sheng Ping, Qi Hong and Cham Tau Soon, they came together to carve the biggest Chinese seal out of stone measuring 1m by 1m mounted on a wooden holder. On the 300-over-kg seal were the Chinese characters for President’s Challenge.
