Bukit Panjang constituency is home to 15 community gardens with a large variety of vegetables and fruits grown by volunteer gardeners, a majority of them housewives and retirees. 3 more gardens are under construction. To appreciate the effort of these volunteers, Bukit Panjang organised its first Community Garden Day on 17 Dec 2017 at the Pending Road Community Hall, where harvests from the gardens were sold with proceeds going to charity.
