‘Seeds of Hope’ was an initiative by Jurong Central Youth Enriching Life (JCYEL) mentoring programme that aimed to show how easy it was to grow edibles in one’s own home using recycled materials. About 150 turned up at Jurong East Community Plaza to make planters from plastic bottles, egg trays, containers etc, that were earlier collected by schools and RN members. Filled with cocopeat and compose made weeks earlier, 136 planters were displayed on 30 Jun 2024.
