Fervale CC IAEC organised Navarathri Dandiya Celebration on 14 Oct 2017 at the Fernvale Road Block 410 Communal Hall. Besides dandiya dances, 116 people took part in a mass Aarti ceremony where each of them carried lighted candles and flowers on metal plates facing the Hindu goddess, Durga. On stage, a small group sang in praise of the goddess. At the end of the Aarti, participants cupped their hands over the flame and towards their faces as an act of receiving the blessings.
