The Galton Box was invented by Sir Francis Galton, using pegs and falling balls to demonstrate the central limit theorem. This inspired Suntec City to make an interactive Christmas Tree where the falling balls determine a lucky draw. Shoppers spending more than $50 will get three turns to see which sock the ball falls into. The 9.5 m-high tree, conceptualised by Minus2Plus Productions, is on display at Suntec’s West Atrium from 22 Nov 22 – 25 Dec 2014.
