Taman Jurong CC celebrated Deepavali with a dinner and carnival on 28 Oct 2017, organised by its IAEC. Ananda Bhavan Restaurant participated in the event with the making of the single largest murukku ever seen in Singapore. The 2 chefs started with smaller pieces, culminating in the final piece measuring 97 cm in diameter without a single crack from the deep frying. Their trick for keeping the giant snack in shape was to extrude the dough on a steel plate and dipping the entire plate in the huge wok of cooking oil.
