The Bazar Raya Utara organised by the Sembawang GRC celebrated both Hari Raya Puasa and National Day by making a Singapore flag using ketupats. Over 2 sessions at the CCs, volunteers turned up to weaved ketupats from red and white ribbons. On 4 Aug 2013, the 987 ketupats were assembled into a 2.36m by 1.65m flag. The event took place at the tented area outside Causeway Point.
