Volunteers of Infinite Youth Association collected used plastic bags and turned them into over 50,000 flowers. The SG50 Flowers were laid to form a mosaic, 9.55m by 5.88m in size, with a design symbolic of Singapore’s 50 years of independence. On 2 Nov 2014, 52 of the mosaic sections were laid ceremoniously on the field at PA headquarters to represent the 52 exercise groups that the association runs throughout Singapore.
