Using Chinese brush painting techniques, Qi Hong painted a galloping horse on the open courtyard of Bras Basah Complex on 13 Jun 2013. It measured 14.2m by 7.3m. Qi Hong graduated from the Shenyang Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts and pursued further studies in the China Central Academy of Fine Arts. Since 1998, he has been specialising in painting horses in Chinese ink. He moved to Singapore in 2010 and has since held several solo exhibitions here.
