A variety show lasting 10 hr 10 min and comprising 97 acts and 1,526 performers (including 12 comperes) was held by staff and students at Mayflower Primary School, Singapore on 5 Jul 2003 to celebrate the school’s 24th anniversary.

Largest Urban Overnight Camp

On 17 Jun 2017, White Sands Mall at Pasir Ris organised an overnight camp for its shoppers and their family members, complete with a campfire and barbecue. 632 people turned up during registration to collect their camping equipment. With the help of boy scouts, 161 tents were pitched on the field next to the mall. The camp lasted till 11am the following day.

A six-panel wall measuring 36m long and 2.1m high in total was at the site for fathers and their families to pen their wishes and leave their handprints.

Largest Distribution Of Food For Iftar

12,020 packets of free food were distributed to residents at Marsiling CC on 4 Jun 2017. The food was cooked by volunteers from Indian Muslim Social Service Association (Singapore) (IMSSA) who stayed overnight to prepare. More than 5,000 residents broke their fast near the collection area, the rest brought the food home.

World’s Largest Sand Painting

Monks of the Golden Pagoda Buddhist Temple created the world’s largest sand painting, measuring 12.24m by 12.24m at the Singapore Expo from 15-22 May 2004. The painting, a multi-coloured mandala, was erased shortly after its completion as a symbol of the impermanence of life.
