Established in 1926, Telok Kurau Primary School holds the unique distinction of having former PM Lee Kuan Yew as an old boy. The school marked its 100th anniversary by having its staff and students write messages on 15×12-cm cards. The cards were strung and hung continuously along the school corridors. There were a total of 2,147 cards measuring 324m when certified on 29 May 2026.
