On 26 May 2018, Tampines Junior College held a carnival to mark its 32nd and final anniversary at its current location. JC2 students gathered at the school hall to make 1,832 apples using balloons in less than half an hour. The number of apple balloons is significant to the school – 18 represents this year and 32 represents the school’s age. The school would merge with Meridian Junior College in 2019.
