For over 2 weeks, with the guidance of Vijayalakshmi Mohan, staff and students at Yuvabharathi International School used toothpicks to make an artwork of our national flower, Vanda Miss Joaquim. A few residents from Sunlove Abode For Intellectually Infirmed also took part on 8 Aug 2018. On that day a National Day concert was held and the orchid made of 19,556 toothpicks was unveiled. The montage work was measured to be 2.45m by 1.23m.
