Kampung Senang Charity & Education Foundation, together with Vegetarian Society (Singapore), organised a Green and Healthy Festival at Singapore Expo on 4 Sep 2016. National Day dinner for residents of Sengkang West was held at an open space near Anchorvale CC on 20 Aug 2016. Masks and coloured markers were provided at all dinner tables. Just before dinner was served, 978 participants painted the masks which they later put on for the event finale.

Temasek Secondary School celebrated National Day on 8 Aug 2016 with 1,298 students and staff making balloon sculptures together. Many of the participants were twisting the long balloons for the first time that day. The sculptures were later used to decorate the school.
