Visitors to Gardens by the Bay were treated to a very colourful sight on 21 Feb 2015. At the Supertree Grove, Tian Eng Dragon & Lion Dance Centre put up a mass ‘cai qing’ (採青) display which literally means plucking the greens. 50 lions, symbolic of SG50, devoured the green lettuce and oranges placed in front of them. The ceremony, organised by the Gardens, was traditionally held to bring luck for the Lunar New Year.
