Yuhua Secondary School commemorated the Singapore Bicentennial on 8 Aug 2019. Students, teachers and staff folded 5,400 origami flower envelopes but only 4,500 were used to form the images of Sang Nila Utama, Tan Tock Seng, Munshi Abdullah, Naraina Pillai and Stamford Raffles. Largest Collage Made Of Acrylic Mirrors

For a couple of weeks students of Yuvabharathi International School pasted colourful chips of acrylic mirrors on pieces of board to create an artwork depicting four ethnic characters. Artist Madam Vijayamohan came up with the design and residents of NTUC Health SilverACE (Taman Jurong) helped to do the pasting. Most Number Of People Playing Five Stones Together

PCF SparkleTots Preschool@Bukit Panjang Sports Day was held at the Fajar Road Community Hall on 8 Aug 2019. Bukit Panjang Zone 8 RC assisted in running the activities. The highlight of the event was when the children and their parents sat together to play five stones. Largest Display Of Handcrafted Photo Frames

Over 2 days in July, shoppers at Bukit Panjang Plaza and Lot One Shoppers’ Mall were invited to do some handicrafts. They were provided with recycled materials to personalise and redecorate photo frames. 300 photo frames from both malls were put together at BPP on 4 Aug 2019 and the full display measured 5.8m by 1.3m. Marsiling CCC held a National Day Carnival on 3 Aug 2019 for Woodlands residents at Woodlands Street 31. Volunteers and residents worked together to put their thumbprints on a banner measuring 4.8m by 4.8m, which was displayed at the event. An image of this year’s National Day logo was formed. At PassionArt Festival held at Lakeside Garden, Bukit Batok East CACC set up a booth for visitors to get their hands on a different form of art. Participants pasted pre-cut strips of colourful adhesive tapes on a 6-piece board which had outlines drawn by artist Pammy Chia. Longest Line Of Painters With Their Paintings

Jurong GRC comprising Jurong Central, Bukit Batok East, Taman Jurong, Jurong Spring and Clementi, together with Yuhua and Bukit Batok SMCs organised PassionArt Festival at Lakeside Garden on 27 Jul 2019. Despite the afternoon heat, many came for the event . Each family was provided with a 76-by-100-cm canvas and acrylic paints. Most Number Of People Doing Marbling Art On Mugs At One Location

Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities organised a dinner event for its beneficiaries on 20 Jul 2019 at Chong Pang 165 Hard Court. Before dinner commenced, 1,548 senior participants had a short art lesson at their tables.
