Largest Display of Handpainted Batiks

Students of Metta School learnt batik-making a few months prior to the official opening of the school’s new building. They hand painted 1,000 pieces of 22 cm by 22 cm white cloth into three different designs illustrating the school’s values – Compassion, Openness and Respect. The batik pieces were stitched up in time for display at the school sports hall on 26 April 2013.
